Multi-field databases

JSTOR (Journal Storage)

Digital archive of scientific journals of Anglo-American origin. Current volumes are generally not accessible, as publishers' embargoes (known as "moving walls") tend to last 3-5 years. Journal collections can be viewed here.

EBSCO Databases (Academic Search Ultimate)

A group of partially full-text and bibliographic databases from EBSCO focused primarily on social sciences and humanities (Academic Search Ultimate, Business Source Ultimate, eBook Open Access Collection, ERIC). The databases are accessible from a single user interface, EBSCOHost web. The Academic Search Ultimate database contains more than 10,000 full-text periodicals, of which more than 6,000 are accessible without any time restrictions imposed by publishers. The content also includes conference proceedings, reports, and video recordings from the Associated Press. The current year's journals may not be accessible (the publisher's embargo is usually 3-12 months).

ProQuest Central

A multidisciplinary, partially full-text database developed by ProQuest. More than 11,000 titles are available in full text. For some journals, the latest volumes are not available due to publisher embargoes. The retrospective coverage ranges from 1905 to the present. The database also includes dissertations, conference proceedings, and newspapers.

Bibliographic databases

Web of Science (WoS)

A single interface to Clarivate's bibliographic, citation, and abstract databases.
Web of Science Core Collection is the main multidisciplinary database containing nearly 70 million records of impacted journals, conference proceedings, and books from around the world. Records date back to 1900. Several citation indexes (Science Citation Index Expanded, Social Sciences Citation Index, Arts & Humanities Citation Index, Book Citation Index, Conference Proceedings Citation Index, etc.) are available for detailed citation analysis (who cited whom and by whom) and research. The Citation Report function makes it easy to obtain detailed information about an author's citations and find out their h-index (Hirsch index - the number of published works by an author whose citation index is equal to or higher than h). Records from the WoS database are linked to the Journal Citation Reports database (impacted journals). Additional information and instructions for WoS, including a complete overview of citation indexes.

Journal Citation Reports (JCR)

A factual database of scientific journals, which are assigned an impact factor (the citation coefficient of an average article in a given journal) based on annual citation analyses.

Scopus

Elsevier's extensive multidisciplinary bibliographic and citation database containing more than 60 million records of peer-reviewed literature, mainly from European sources. In addition to journals, conference proceedings, and books, Scopus also indexes specialized websites and patent databases. Some of the records date back to 1788. Indexed sources can be viewed and filtered according to selected parameters: https://www.scopus.com/sources. Updated lists of titles are also available for download. Detailed information about the database content can be found here.

Ulrich’s Periodicals Directory

An international bibliographic database of journals with detailed information on more than 300,000 titles in both print and electronic form.
